Schumann honors the winners of the 16 before 16 competition

Amman, November 10 (Petra) – The Knowledge Path Library, at the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, celebrated yesterday evening, Wednesday evening, honoring the winners of the “16 Before 16” competition for the current year, which is organized by the library for children and adolescents for the age groups 7-11 years and 12 16 years old
The competition won in the 7-11 years category, Nour Al-Amoush in first place, Yara Al-Masry in second place, and Lilia Hamama in third place, while she won in the 12-16 years category, Hala Al-Zein in first place, Lamar Sobha in second place, and Lilian Selim in third place.
In her speech during the ceremony announcing the winners, which was held in the presence of the participants and their families, the CEO of the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, Valentina Kassisieh, pointed to the importance of promoting the habit of reading among children at an early age and society in general, stressing the importance of the book and its benefits in nourishing human thought, as reading is One of the most important human needs in life.
In her speech during the celebration, writer Flora Majdalawi stressed the importance of reading and its benefits for the individual and society, indicating that reading has many multiple benefits that work on the development of peoples and civilizations.
It is noteworthy that 6 winners were selected for this session out of 26 finalists.
At the conclusion of the celebration, the Priesthood distributed certificates to the participants from the short list, in addition to certificates and prizes for the winners of the first three places in the two categories.
