Riyadh, May 23, 2023, SPA –The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued its daily forecast report for the weather in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The NCM report that medium to heavy thunderstorms continue to rain, leading to torrential rains, accompanied by showers of hail and active winds that raise dust and dust, limiting the horizontal visibility in parts of the regions of Najran, Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and the heights of Makkah. It is also expected that thunderstorms, preceded by active winds and raised dust, will limit the horizontal visibility in parts of the regions of Riyadh, Al Sharqiya, Hail, Al Qassim, Tabuk, Al Jawf, and the Northern Borders; sporadic rains are not excluded in parts of Madinah.
The report indicated that the movement of surface winds on the Red Sea is southwesterly to northwesterly at a speed of 15-30 km/h and reaches more than 40 km/h, with thunderstorms raining on the southern part, and wave heights from half a meter to one meter up to two meters with clouds, thundery rain in the south part. The state of the sea is light waves and wavy, with thunderstorm clouds in the southern area.
The report added that surface winds over the Arabian Gulf would be northwesterly to northeasterly, at a movement of surface winds over the Arabian Gulf will be northwesterly northeasterly, at a speed of 12-30 km/h, with wave height from half a meter to a meter, and the sea state will be light, wave height from half a meter to a meter.
