103 purebred Arabian horses compete in Jordan championship

Amman, May 23 (Petra) – The 2026 Jordan National Arabian Horse
Championships, organized by the Royal Jordanian Equestrian Federation
(RJEF), kicked off on Friday, at the Amman Equestrian Center in Al
Hussein Youth City.

According to the RJEF statement, a total of 103 purebred Arabian
horses for 48 owners are participating in the event.

The first day featured competitions for categories 1-6 designed for
colts and fillies aged one, two, and three years, across 13 approved
categories, based on age and gender.

This year’s championship is held using the comparative judging
system, which is standard in Arabian horse beauty championships.

On its other goals, the two-day event also serves as a qualifying
procedure for the Middle East Arabian Horse Championship.

The RJEF said 4 competitions were held on the first day, while other
rounds will continue Saturday.
