22 arrested in Israeli army raids in West Bank, settlers destroy olive trees in Jenin

Ramallah, July 21 (Petra) – Israeli occupation forces on Monday rounded up 22 Palestinians, including elderly people, in search-and-arrest raids across the West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club Society said.

Also today, Jewish settlers, under the protection of Israeli troops, cut down dozens of olive trees in the village of Jalboun, east of Jenin, in the northern West Bank.

The diehard settlers stormed the village from the southeast and began destroying and uprooting trees on land adjacent to the West Bank separation wall, said head of the local council, Ibrahim Abu al-Rub.

He said an area of 130 dunums was targeted, adding that the Israeli army prevented local residents from accessing their property.
