Suva, April 01 (QNA) – An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale struck on Wednesday Fiji islands in the south Pacific Ocean.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the quake occurred at a depth of 576 km.
The Fiji Islands are located in an area called the Ring of Fire in the Pacific Ocean, which is subject to frequent earthquakes that can sometimes be powerful. (QNA)
