Amman, Feb. 15 (Petra) Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas reaffirmed his rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people or impose a new “Deal of the Century,” stressing that anyone who believes such a plan can be implemented is delusional.
His remarks came during his participation in the 38th African Union summit, held in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
In addition to the Palestinian cause, the summit’s agenda includes discussions on Sudan and Libya, as well as issues such as justice, food security, digital transformation, climate change, accelerating access to clean cooking solutions in Africa, and enhancing economic integration among member states.
The African Union, which consists of 55 countries, was established in 2002 as a successor to the Organization of African Unity, with the aim of fostering greater continental integration and establishing a common market.
