Kabul, April 04 (QNA) – At least 61 people have been killed and 116 injured in floods and natural disasters across Afghanistan, authorities said, with four still missing.
Spokesman of the Caretaker Government Zabihullah Mujahid said days of heavy rain triggered widespread flooding that damaged or destroyed 2,448 homes and forced road closures, disrupting movement and aid delivery.
Officials warned further severe weather could cause additional damage.
Separately, a 5.9-magnitude earthquake killed eight people in Kabul after a house collapsed, with no other casualties reported. (QNA)
