Amman, June 22 (Petra) – King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) on Sunday signed a cooperation agreement with the National Insurance Company (NIC), aimed at enabling the company’s clients to subscribe to “Cancer Care Insurance (CCI)” program, which covers cancer treatment costs exclusively at the center.

The agreement, which was signed in the presence of KHCF Director General, Nisreen Qatamesh, and NIC Director General, Dr. Manal Jarrar, provides “innovative” insurance solutions that enhance “comprehensive” health protection for the community and ensure a “rapid” response to cancer cases.

Talking at the signing ceremony, Qatamesh indicated that this cooperation represents an extension of the KHCF’s efforts to expand the subscriber base of Cancer Care Insurance initiative, which represents a “proactive measure and a sustainable solution”.

Qatamesh said this effort ensures “immediate” access to treatment under the “highest” medical standards, without “hefty” financial burdens on patients and their families.

For her part, Jarrar said this agreement reflects the NIC’s “commitment” to innovation in designing insurance-based products, especially steps that have a humanitarian and social dimension.

Jarrar underlined the importance of activating such partnerships to enhance health security and achieve a “true” positive impact on citizens’ lives.

“Care Insurance Insurance”, which is a model of social solidarity and non-profit insurance, provides comprehensive coverage for cancer treatment at the KHCF to all ages and nationalities.
