Amman, August 5 (Petra) – AI Education Forum will begin in Amman next
Saturday to discuss the future of education amid rapid advances in AI
technologies and forge practical visions and strategies to develop
the Kingdom’s learning system.

The two-day event, held under the theme: “Reimagining Education in
the AI Age,” will feature a select group of educational and academic
leaders, decision-makers, experts, and innovators.

According to a statement issued by organizers on Wednesday, the forum
aims to exchange experiences, review the best global practices, and
promote the use of AI technologies to enhance learning quality and
empower teachers and students to acquire future-oriented skills.

The event aligns with the national trends aimed to support digital
transformation and development of the Kingdom’s education sector.

Based on Royal interest in accelerating the digital transformation
process, empowering youth, and improving the learning quality, this
effort seeks to build a “modern and effective educational system” to
keep pace with global changes and prepare generations to join the
knowledge economy.

As for the agenda, participants will discuss the latest global trends
in the AI use in education, impact of proxy and generative AI
technologies on teaching and learning, redesign of assessment
methods, and a review of applicable tools and frameworks for
implementation within educational institutions.

On its goal, the forum serves as a “national” platform for dialogue
and collaboration among educational and academic leaders, experts,
and practitioners.

Activities also aim to exchange expertise, strengthen partnerships
between educational institutions and the public and private sectors,
and develop feasible recommendations to accelerate the AI responsible
and effective integration.

The forum, held as Jordan continues to strengthen its position as a
regional hub for education, innovation, and digital transformation,
is based on Jordan AI Strategy, the National Digital Transformation
Strategy, and the expansion of AI and digital skills education
programs, all of which align with national goals to build a
knowledge-based economy and invest in human capital.

The organizers expect the forum would forge practical visions and
recommendations to enhance the use of AI technologies in the
education sector, and support efforts to develop the Kingdom’s
educational system, in line with global changes and enhance
“competitiveness” of Jordan’s education sector.
