Salt, Jan. 26 (Petra) – Al- Balqa’ Applied University (BAU) has achieved a new accomplishment after joining 7 scientific fields in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2025.
The university topped the local ranking in the field of physical sciences for the fourth year in a row, and emerged in the (501-600) category globally.
The university also occupied “advanced” positions globally in other fields, namely (401-500) category in computer science, (601-800) range in social sciences, (+601) list in education, (+801) in business and economics, and (801-1000) in engineering and clinical and health sciences.
In a statement Sunday, the university president, Dr. Ahmad Fakhri Ajlouni, said this success enhances the BAU’s “international” position and contributes to attracting competencies from faculty members, researchers and local and foreign students.
Ajlouni stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation with local and world bodies and intensifying efforts in “distinguished” scientific research, which contributes to improving the university’s position in global rankings and enhancing its “competitiveness” and academic reputation.
