President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, visited Al-Gezira State, where he received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the residents of Al-Managil. Addressing citizens after Friday prayers at the historic Al-Managil Mosque, the TSC President conveyed his greetings to the Sudanese people and congratulated them on the anniversary of the Prophet Mohamed’s (Peace and Blessing be Upon Him) birthday. He also praised the people of Al-Managil for their patriotic positions and their support for the state and the Armed Forces throughout the war. Al-Burhan described Al-Managil as “the heart of Al-Gezira and Sudan,” noting that it had hosted large numbers of people displaced by the war and served as an important launching point for operations to liberate Al-Gezira State. He affirmed that the people of Al-Managil had provided steadfast support to the Armed Forces and to their fellow Sudanese in various parts of the country. “We will never be able to fully repay the people of Al-Managil,” he said, stressing that one of the main purposes of his visit was to thank the people of the area for their positions and sacrifices. He said that the military forces that launched operations from Al-Managil did not ask the people of Al-Managil for anything; rather, they voluntarily provided support and assistance to the Armed Forces.Al-Burhan affirmed that the Battle of Dignity had not ended and would continue until the defeat of “this criminal Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia,” pointing to the continued efforts by what he described as Sudan’s enemies to bring the country to its knees. The TSC President said that Sudan could not rule out the possibility of attempts to impose sanctions on the country in the coming days, but stressed: “Allah is stronger than them, and our people are stronger than them. Our ultimate objective is to defeat the rebellion.”He reaffirmed that the Armed Forces would not surrender and that their ultimate goal was to eliminate the rebellion. On services and development, Al-Burhan announced support for Al-Managil area and the completion of the main road, directing that work begin immediately. He also announced the establishment of a military airbase in Al-Managil, noting that the Corps of Engineers had been instructed to begin work on the military base immediately. Al-Burhan affirmed that military operations would continue until victory was achieved, noting that the “Second Al-Managil Mobile Force” would head toward Al-Geneina, Om Dukhun, El-Fasher, and Al-Kormuk to contribute to the liberation of these cities from the rebel militia.BH/BH
