Al-Mansouri Addresses Innovation and Entrepreneurship Workshop

Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries Prof. Ahmed Al-Tijani Al-Mansouri stressed the importance of adopting innovative ideas and modern technologies in developing the livestock sector. This came during his address to a training workshop on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Livestock, Agriculture, and Dairy Production,” held under the slogan “Together Towards Innovative Leadership in the Dairy Industry,” and organized by the ministry in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD), in the presence of the ministry’s undersecretary, senior officials, experts from the organization, and other relevant stakeholders. The minister stated that the workshop comes within the framework of joint cooperation between the ministry and the organization aimed at promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the animal production sector, including dairy, fish, and meat production. He noted that this contributes to empowering youth by harnessing their energies in developing productive projects and benefiting from their potential in entrepreneurship. He also highlighted the importance of capacity-building and enhancing the skills of entrepreneurs, which would help create new job opportunities and support small and medium-sized enterprises. For his part, trainer Prof. Osama Abdel-Wahab said the workshop focuses on the transition toward modern technology, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies in the livestock and agricultural production sectors, as well as guidance and business development in animal resources. He added that the workshop will be held in person at the ministry for three days, in addition to a virtual component lasting three weeks via the Agricultural Knowledge Platform, aiming to equip participants with the necessary expertise and knowledge to become business advisors, contribute to developing an innovation-friendly environment in livestock and fisheries, and unlock Sudan’s vast resources for productive use and export development.BH/BH
