Doha, August 19 (QNA) – The coaches of Al Rayyan and Lusail confirmed their teams’ readiness for tomorrow’s match at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in the opening round of the 2026-27 Qatar Stars League.
Al Rayyan coach Vicente Moreno said during the pre-match press conference that he was looking forward to starting the new season after a good preparation period.
He added that the team’s focus was currently on the Lusail match and that they were seeking to make a strong start and please their fans.
Moreno noted that Al Rayyan was a big club and that big clubs should always compete for major objectives, adding that the team was looking forward to achieving its ambitions this season.
Meanwhile, Lusail coach Emanuel Mesquita expressed his delight at his team’s participation in the Qatar Stars League for the first time in the club’s history. He stressed that the team was excited about the new experience and competing against the best teams in Qatar.
Mesquita said that the team was very happy to be among the best teams in Qatar and to have the opportunity to compete against them.
He added that the players were eager to start the competition and demonstrate their capabilities.
Regarding the match against Al Rayyan, Mesquita confirmed that his team was ready, noting that they would face a strong side after a good preparation period.
He added that Lusail was ready to demonstrate its capabilities after reaching the Qatar Stars League and prove that it deserved to compete among the best teams. (QNA)
