Gaza, Jan. 21 (Petra) – The United Nations Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Muhannad Hadi, said on Tuesday that all sectors in Gaza require full support following the implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
During a press conference held in Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza, Hadi emphasized the importance of strengthening the work of UN agencies in the coming period in partnership with local community organizations and other entities. He highlighted the urgent need for support in key sectors, including healthcare, education, nutrition, psychological support, and assistance at shelter centers.
Hadi expressed appreciation for the Egyptian and Qatari efforts in mediating the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
He called for the provision of necessary aid to assist Gaza residents in the reconstruction process and enable families to return to their homes. Hadi underscored that the people of Gaza are in dire need of humanitarian assistance.
