Amman, May 23 (Petra)– The 79th anniversary of the Kingdom’s independence was celebrated on Friday night in the capital, Amman, with solemn festivities.

The Ministries of Culture and Tourism collaborated with the Greater Amman Municipality to organize these events. Carrying the national flag and displaying pride in their wise Hashemite leadership, Jordanians assembled in Hashemite Square and the Roman Amphitheater.

The national anthem was played to start the evening, and then the Public Security Band performed patriotic songs that stoked the crowd’s excitement as they chanted slogans for His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II.

The Jubeiha Gardens, King Abdullah II Gardens, King Hussein Gardens in Muqablin, the Royal Automobile and Tank Museums, and the Sixth Towers were among the sites of the festivities, in addition to the Roman Amphitheater. These locations held a variety of events that reflected the atmosphere of national joy and belonging, and they were decked out with Jordanian flags.

Fireworks will be set off at the Sixth Towers on May 25 at 9:30 PM to round off the festivities. Additionally, drone performances in the Raghadan region are scheduled for 9:00 and 9:45 p.m., lighting up Amman’s skies with artistic displays that represent Jordanians’ hopes for a prosperous future under their Hashemite leadership.
