Amman Message contributed to deepening coexistence: Study

Karak, Dec. 23 (Petra) – The outcomes and recommendations of a newly released study by Hussein Mahadeen, a researcher at Mutah University, said that the Amman Message is a contemporary intellectual model that called for deepening coexistence, respect for religions and raising awareness of the essence and truth of Islam.

According to the study, the Amman Message called for engagement and participation in contemporary human society and contributing to its advancement and progress, cooperating with all forces of goodness, reason, and justice-loving peoples.

The outcomes and recommendations dealt with challenges facing Arab and Jordanian youth in particular, and ways to confront them, guided by the Amman Message.

The study recommends launching of websites that deal with Jordanian youth issues in a deep scientific manner and encourge meaningful dialogue with them regarding the challenges they face.

It also recommended launching awareness campaigns that embody pluralism and deepen religious and national dialogue in order to restore and develop the roles of reference institutions, the family, the school, the university, the mosque, the church and the media.
