Animal Resources Ministry, White Nile State Agree to Expedite Establishment of Livestock Production City

The Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries and the Government of White Nile State have agreed to accelerate the establishment of a Livestock Production City in the state. The agreement was reached during a meeting held on Thursday at the Ministry’s headquarters between the Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Professor Ahmed Al-Tijani Al-Mansouri, and a delegation from White Nile State headed by its Wali, Lieutenant General Qamar Al-Din Mohamed Fadl Al-Mawla. The meeting also agreed on the establishment of a modern abattoir that meets international specifications and standards. It was also announced that a livestock conference will be held with the participation of all relevant stakeholders, aimed at increasing production and productivity, supporting small-scale producers and livestock breeders, and developing the sector. Professor Al-Mansouri affirmed that White Nile State possesses substantial livestock resources, enabling it to make an effective contribution to the national economy and boost exports. For his part, the Wali of White Nile State reaffirmed his government’s readiness to overcome all obstacles and provide the necessary support for the successful establishment of the Livestock Production City and the implementation of the conference’s recommendations to achieve the desired objectives of advancing the sector.
