Amman, May 18 (Petra) – The General Assembly of the International Fertilizer Association (IFA) has re-elected, Maen Nsour, CEO of the Arab Potash Company (APC), to the association’s Board of Directors for a new term (2025–2027) during its meeting held in Monaco.

According to a statement issued by the company on Sunday, Nsour’s re-election comes in recognition of the company’s growing role in promoting global food security and supplying high-quality fertilizers amid ongoing geopolitical challenges worldwide. The APC has also been increasingly active in promoting responsible fertilizer and chemical production, adopting best practices in sustainability, and enhancing its capabilities in research, development, and innovation.

During the IFA’s annual meeting, members discussed reports from the executive committees, mid-term global fertilizer production and demand trends, and their impact on market directions. Discussions also covered global food security and agrifood systems.

Founded in 1927, the IFA is an international organization comprising more than 500 member companies and institutions from over 80 countries. It focuses on advancing the efficient and responsible production, distribution, and use of fertilizers and plant nutrients to improve global food security.
