Arab Forum Urges Faster Digital Transformation and AI Governance

Cairo, July 22 (QNA) – An Arab digital knowledge forum has called for faster digital transformation across institutions in the region, urging greater adoption of emerging technologies and increased investment in digital skills development.
The two-day event, organized by the Arab Administrative Development Organization in Cairo, recommended establishing a framework to measure digital transformation maturity and developing national and institutional policies for AI governance to ensure transparency, risk management, compliance, privacy and data protection.
Participants also called for more research into the return on investment of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, and the future of digital knowledge.
The forum covered topics including digital leadership, institutional innovation, artificial intelligence, big data engineering, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure and smart institutional transformation, with experts, academics and executives from across the Arab world taking part. (QNA)
