Tunis, June 23 (Petra) – The Council of Arab Interior Ministers has strongly condemned Iran’s missile strike on Qatar, describing it as a blatant violation of the Gulf state’s sovereignty and airspace.
In a statement issued Monday, the council’s general secretariat expressed “deep condemnation and strong denunciation” of the attack, calling it a flagrant breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.
The statement also rejected Iranian actions that, it said, threaten to undermine regional security and stability and derail efforts toward de-escalation and peace efforts in which Qatar has played a leading role.
The council affirmed its full solidarity with Qatar and its support for all measures taken by Doha to safeguard its security and stability.
