Cairo, March 14 (Petra) – Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit on Saturday condemned ongoing Israeli air raids on civilian infrastructure and state property in Lebanon, including bridges, and attacks on residential areas in Beirut, which gravely endanger civilians.
Aboul Gheit expressed full solidarity with the Lebanese state as it seeks to avoid being drawn into the ongoing war in the region.
He said Israel’s plan to reoccupy Lebanese territory is an “unacceptable and condemned expansionist policy that hinders Lebanon’s chances of regaining control over the country’s south.”
