Cairo, March 02 (QNA) – Member states of the Arab League have strongly condemned Iranian attacks targeting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of several Arab countries.
In a statement on Sunday, the bloc said the attacks constitute a blatant violation of international laws and conventions, as well as the principles of good neighborliness, warning of the serious risks they pose to the security and stability of Arab states and the wider region.
The member states reaffirmed that Arab national security is indivisible and categorically rejected any infringement on the sovereignty of any Arab country under any pretext. They called on Iran to immediately halt escalatory actions, exercise restraint, and avoid further widening the conflict and its potentially grave consequences.
The statement also expressed appreciation for diplomatic efforts undertaken by the Sultanate of Oman and several sisterly countries, notably Qatar and Egypt, as well as friendly states, aimed at preventing further escalation.
The bloc underscored the importance of building on those efforts to safeguard regional stability. (QNA)
