Khartoum, August 13, 2026 (SUNA) – The Armed Forces announced in a statement issued Thursday, that they successfully repelled an attack launched by the Dagalo terrorist militia and its mercenaries, involving more than 250 combat vehicles, targeting Jabrat-Al-Sheikh area. The statement said, “Thanks to Allah’s grace and support, our Armed Forces and supporting forces Thursday, wrote a new chapter of steadfastness and resilience, successfully repelling and breaking an attack launched by the Dagalo terrorist militia and its mercenaries, with a force of more than 250 combat vehicles, targeting the Jabrat-Al-Sheikh area.” The statement explained that our valiant forces resolutely and decisively repelled the attack, inflicting heavy losses on the militia in personnel and equipment, forcing its remnants to flee, and pursuing them to the borders of Darfur states. The statement said the development further confirms the steadfast resolve of the Armed Forces in confronting the militia’s desperate attempts. The Armed Forces affirmed that their offensive operations are proceeding with determination and steadfastness, stressing that they will not relent in fulfilling their national duty until the entire homeland is rid of the filth of the terrorist militia, its mercenaries and supporters, and security and stability are restored throughout the country. The statement concluded with prayers for eternal paradise for the martyrs who paved the path of honor and dignity with their blood, wishes a speedy recovery for the wounded and injured, and the safe return of the prisoners and missing persons.BH/BH
