Amman, Jan. 29 (Petra) — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Thursday met the President of the Republic of Lebanon, Gen. Joseph Aoun, at the Presidential Palace in Beirut.
The talks focused on ways to enhance cooperation and coordination, issues of mutual interest, and regional developments and security challenges, contributing to regional security and stability.
Huneiti also met Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces Gen. Rodolph Haykal, where discussions covered military cooperation between Jordan and Lebanon, and the exchange of expertise in training and capacity building to boost readiness and efficiency.
Huneiti affirmed the deep ties between the two military institutions and the importance of further developing cooperation to serve the shared interests of the two countries.
Haykal praised the professionalism and high standards of the Jordan Armed Forces, commending their role in supporting regional security and stability and underscoring the strength of bilateral relations.
