Amman, May 22 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, discussed with a team from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation in Jordan, headed by Sarah Avrillaud, ways to enhance joint cooperation and coordination.
Held at General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army on Thursday, the meeting mainly focused on the areas of providing humanitarian aid, implementing relief programs, and exchanging expertise in the field of international humanitarian law.
During the meeting, Huneiti stressed the importance of the ICRC’s role in providing support and assistance to those affected by conflicts and disasters, praising the ongoing mutual cooperation in various humanitarian fields.
For her part, Avrillaud valued the JAF’s efforts in supporting humanitarian activities, stressing the importance of continued joint cooperation to achieve noble humanitarian goals.
A number of senior JAF officers attended the meeting.
