Amman, Dec. 9 (Petra) – Chief of the Joint Staff, Lit. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Huneiti, on Tuesday received Sudanese Defense Minister, Lit. Gen. Hassan Daoud Kayan, and his accompanying delegation at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)– Arab Army.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed aspects of joint military cooperation and coordination between the Jordanian and Sudanese armed forces in the defense and training fields.
Discussions also went over the latest developments of mutual interest, which would contribute to enhancing “strategic” interests, security, and stability in the region.
Huneiti emphasized the “deep-rooted” relations between the two brotherly countries’ armed forces, highlighting the importance of continued military coordination in all areas, which “positively” affects defense capabilities and the development of joint expertise.
In turn, the Sudanese defense minister expressed his appreciation for the JAF’s professional level, praising its “leading” role in supporting regional security and stability.
Concluding talks, which were attended by the Sudanese Ambassador and Military Attaché in Amman, and a number of senior JAF officers, the Sudanese minister wrote a message in the visitors’ book.
