Amman, August 18 (Petra) – Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti met on Monday with a delegation from the U.S. Congressional Armed Services Committee.
The meeting, attended by senior officers from the Jordanian Armed Forces and the U.S. Defence Attaché in Amman, focused on enhancing joint cooperation and coordination across various military and security fields, as well as discussing regional and international developments.
Huneiti discussed the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States, calling for strengthening joint efforts to promote international peace and security.
For their part, members of the U.S. delegation commended the Kingdom’s efforts under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II across political and security domains and underscored Jordan’s role in providing humanitarian and relief assistance in the region.
