Army chief, US congressional delegation talk military cooperation

Amman, August 13 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of
the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) Yousef Huneiti met on
Thursday with a US Congress delegation.

During the meeting held at the JAF’s headqurters, Huneiti discussed
ways to expand military and defense cooperation with the delegation,
as well as issues of mutual concern.

The delegation learned about JAF operations, border security
protocols, and efforts to maintain regional stability.

Huneiti thanked the US for continued military support, stressing the
need to deepen bilateral defense ties.

In turn, the delegation lauded Jordan’s efforts under His Majesty
King Abdullah II to foster peace in the region, praising the “strong
operational” partnership between Amman and Washington.
