Amman, May 25 (Petra)– According to a military source in the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), the Southern Military Zone, in coordination with with security bodies, thwarted a drug smuggling attempt utilizing two drones on its western front at daybreak on Sunday within its jurisdiction.
The source further said that after keeping an eye on and tracking the two drones, border guard troops in the Southern Military Zone applied the rules of engagement. Inside Jordanian land, they were stopped and brought down, and the confiscated goods were given to the relevant authorities.
The source underlined that in order to keep these drugs from getting to residents and endangering national security, the JAF is exerting every ounce of might and resolve.
