Amman, January 7 (Petra) — The army shot down a drone carrying drugs over the southern borders on Tuesday, according to an army official.
The border guard forces in the Southern Military Zone worked with the military security services and the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) and foiled the smuggling attempt. The drone was intercepted before crossing into Jordanian territory.
The source said the Jordanian Armed Forces is committed to combating smuggling operations to ensure Jordan’s security.
