Amman, Sept. 11 (Petra) — The Women’s Leadership Trainers Course, organized by UN Women in Jordan, in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces’ (JAF) Women’s Affairs Directorate, concluded on Thursday.
The event was held with teams’ engagement from the JAF, the Public Security Directorate, and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management.
The week-long course focused on “effective” leadership concepts, strategic planning, and other issues aimed at enhancing participants’ efficiency in security and military work environments. It reflected efforts to promote institutional integration in support of women’s participation in leadership and decision-making.
The program builds on the JAF’s efforts to strengthen women’s leadership capacities and open new opportunities in positions of influence. The partnership with UN Women provides a foundation for developing specialized training programs that raise participants’ performance levels and leadership readiness.
Held periodically under the National Action Plan for implementing UN Security Council Resolution 1325, the course aims to build a strong base of women leaders to contribute to policymaking and decision-making processes, in line with Jordan’s vision of achieving equality, empowering women, and promoting comprehensive and sustainable security.
