Amman, July 17 (Petra) – The Amman Stock Exchange’s (ASE) benchmark general index registered a 1.16 percent gain last week, closing out Friday’s trading session at 2,876 points.
Weekly turnover on the ASE saw a dip, with the average daily trading volume settling at approximately 11.6 million Jordanian dinars ($16.36 million). This represents a 6.3 percent decrease from the 12.4 million dinars recorded in the preceding week.
The market’s total weekly trading value reached roughly 58 million dinars ($81.8 million), down from 62 million dinars a week earlier. Over the past trading week, 33.2 million shares were exchanged across 18,147 executed transactions.
