Amman, August 3 (Petra) – Turnover on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE)
reached JD16.4 million on Monday, with 8.1 million shares traded
through 5,185 transactions.
The ASE general price index closed at 3,999 points, down 0.33
percent.
The industrial sector index rose 1.19 percent, while the services
sector index declined 0.93 percent and the financial sector index
fell 0.51 percent.
Of the 106 companies whose shares were traded, 35 recorded gains and
42 posted declines compared with their previous closing prices.
