Amman, Aug. 18 (Petra) — Turnover on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE)
totaled JD10.5 million Tuesday, with 4.6 million shares changing
hands through 3,825 transactions.
The general index reached 3,990 points at the close, up 0.32%.
The industrial sector index climbed 1.88%, while the services index
edged up 0.08%. The financial sector index slipped 0.03%.
Of the 97 companies whose shares were traded, 33 posted gains and 37
recorded declines compared with their previous closing prices.
