Amman, Sept. 1 (Petra) — The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) general
index rose 0.58 percent on Tuesday to close at 4,023 points, with
total trading volume reaching JD9.9 million.
A total of 4.2 million shares changed hands through 3,706
transactions.
By sector, the services index gained 1.17 percent, the financial
sector rose 0.35 percent, and the industrial sector advanced 0.29
percent.
Of the 100 companies traded, 35 closed higher and 34 declined
compared with their previous closing prices.
