Amman, April 8 (Petra) — Total trading value of the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) reached JD22.4 million on Wednesday, as 5.9 million shares were traded through 5,068 transactions.
The general share price index rose to 3,704 points, marking an increase of 1.32 percent.
Out of 109 listed companies traded, 67 recorded gains, while 19 others declined in share prices, the rest remained stable.
With broadly positive sectoral performance, the services and financial sectors’ indexes rose by 2.84% and 0.81%, while the industrial sector slightly edged up by 0.50%.
