Aqaba, Dec. 2 (Petra) – The Chairperson of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), Shadi Majali, met on Tuesday with Dutch Ambassador to Jordan Stella Kluth to discuss enhancing cooperation in ports, transportation, and logistics sectors.
During the meeting at his office, Majali highlighted the strong relations between Jordan and the Netherlands and reaffirmed ASEZA’s commitment to forging international partnerships that support sustainable development. He described Aqaba as a model for economic integration and comprehensive development.
The discussions focused on initiatives to improve port infrastructure, enhance transportation and logistics systems in the Aqaba region, and exchange expertise. Both sides explored leveraging Dutch experience, particularly from the Port of Rotterdam, in modern management, operations, and supply chain development to strengthen Aqaba’s role as a regional trade and logistics hub.
Kluth underscored the strong ties between the two countries and affirmed her commitment to ongoing coordination and cooperation with ASEZA. She highlighted the importance of expanding the partnership to promote economic development, attract investment, and advance key sectors within the special economic zone.
