Aqaba, Oct. 21 (Petra) — Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs,
Mohammad Khalaileh, inaugurated on Wednesday the 3rd Female Preachers
Forum in Aqaba Governorate, organized by the ministry’s Directorate
of Women’s Affairs with the participation of female preachers from
Aqaba and Maan governorates.
The four-day forum aims to bolster moderate religious discourse and
advance the capacity of female preachers to address contemporary
intellectual and social issues.
Khalaileh emphasized that religious advocacy is built on knowledge,
wisdom, and constructive dialogue, highlighting that understanding
contemporary realities and emerging societal concerns is essential
for effective preaching and social cohesion.
Head of the Directorate, Lamis Al-Rashdan, stated that the forum
aligns with royal directives to empower women and promote female
leadership in religious guidance. She added that specialized training
prepares preachers to counter destructive ideas, raise religious
awareness, and promote societal stability.
The opening ceremony was attended by Director of Aqaba Awqaf
Directorate Fares Al-Jawazneh, Director General of the Aqaba Company
for Ports Operation and Management, Mahmoud Khleifat, alongside local
