Awqaf minister, JPA head discuss media cooperation and Hajj coverage

Amman, Aug. 2 (Petra) — Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs
Mohammad Khalaileh met on Sunday with Jordan Press Association (JPA)
President Tariq Al-Momani to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral
cooperation and expand partnerships in areas of mutual interest.

Khalaileh highlighted the importance of partnering with media
outlets, praising the performance of the press delegation that
accompanied the official Jordanian Hajj mission. He commended the
journalists for their coverage of the Hajj season and the services
provided to pilgrims.

Both sides reviewed the outcomes of their cooperation during the
recent Hajj season, commending the quality of services delivered to
Jordanian pilgrims and Palestinian pilgrims from the 1948
territories, as well as the joint efforts that contributed to the
season’s success.

The two officials also explored mechanisms to expand cooperation
during upcoming seasons to bolster coordination between the ministry
and media institutions and improve Hajj media coverage.

The meeting was attended on behalf of the ministry by
Secretary-General Ismail Al-Khatba, Director General of the Hajj and
Umrah Department Majdi Al-Btoush, and official spokesperson and head
of the media unit Mohammad Al-Tawalbeh.

Representing the JPA board were council members Rashid Al-Assaf,
Rashid Al-Rawashdeh, Rushdi Al-Qarala, Mohammad Al-Fuqaha, Ali
Freihat, and Mowaffaq Kamal.
