Amman, February 28 (Petra) – Bahrain condemned the Iranian missile attacks on Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan as a flagrant violation of their sovereignty, security and stability.
The attacks pose a threat to the safety and lives of civilians and represent a breach of international law, norms and the principles of good neighbourliness, Bahrain said.
According to the Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the efficiency of air defence systems in Bahrain and the other affected countries, noting that several missiles were successfully intercepted and destroyed, while others struck sites and facilities.
The Ministry affirmed that the armed forces of the targeted states are fully prepared to deter any aggression that threatens their security and safety or infringes upon their sovereignty and independence.
It called on the international community to condemn the attacks and take an immediate and firm stance to halt what it described as acts of aggression that endanger civilian lives.
The Ministry said that states retain their legitimate right to respond and to take all necessary measures to safeguard their sovereignty, security, stability and the safety of their citizens and residents.
