Manama, March 2 (Petra) – Bahrain’s National Communication Center said on Monday that the Kingdom’s missile defense systems successfully intercepted a new wave of hostile attacks involving 70 ballistic missiles and 59 Iranian drones.
The center, according to the Bahrain News Agency, emphasized that the targeting of civilian objects and private property by ballistic missiles and drones constitutes a grave violation of Bahraini sovereignty and a clear breach of international laws and norms.
The statement affirmed that the Kingdom reserves its legal right to respond and take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
The announcement comes amid a significant escalation in regional tensions, with the Bahrain Defense Force stating its air defense units acted with high efficiency to neutralize the threats.
