Khartoum, March 6, 2026 (SUNA) – The Council of Ministers, during its meeting on Friday afternoon chaired by Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris, approved the 2025 performance report of Khartoum State and its plan for 2026.Wali of Khartoum State Ahmed Othman Hamza explained that the state’s plan includes the Khartoum State Reconstruction and Recovery Strategy for the period 2026–2036.The Cabinet commended the efforts of the Higher Committee for Preparing a Suitable Environment for the Return of Citizens to Khartoum State, chaired by Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jabir, aimed at restoring normal life in the state.The Council also praised the performance of the Khartoum State Government in maintaining essential services despite the conditions of war and its ongoing reconstruction and recovery efforts. It reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Khartoum State Government and assisting it in restoring the resources it has lost.BH/BH
