Tripoli, August 26 (QNA) – HE Chairman of the Presidential Council of the State of Libya Dr. Mohamed Al Menfi met in Tripoli on Wednesday with HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi.
The meeting discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to cement and support them. It also discussed regional developments, in addition to a number of topics of common interest.
HE the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the State of Qatar’s support for the unity and stability of Libya, and its keenness to support the political process and peaceful solutions that respond to the aspirations of the Libyan people and preserve Libya’s sovereignty.
His Excellency also pointed to the importance of continuing the dialogue and supporting mediation and national reconciliation efforts, which contribute to strengthening consensus among Libyans and creating the appropriate conditions for stability. He stressed that the State of Qatar will continue to communicate with various Libyan parties and leaders, in support of international efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive and sustainable political settlement.
HE Vice President of the Presidential Council of the State of Libya Abdullah Al Lafi attended the meeting. (QNA)
