Reiterates Urgent Call for Immediate Halt to Military Operations Across Middle
East
Beijing,
8 Mar 2026 (ONA) — Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi today renewed his
nation’s urgent appeal for the immediate cessation of all military operations
in the Middle East, warning against the grave dangers of escalation and the
unchecked expansion of conflict that threatens to engulf the region in wider
instability.
According
to China’s official Xinhua News Agency, Wang emphasized that “this
conflict should never have been allowed to unfold and serves no interest
whatsoever to any party involved.” He underscored that “the use of
force cannot resolve disputes; continued fighting only deepens animosities and
spawns new crises.”
The
Chinese Foreign Minister urged all concerned parties to return promptly to the
negotiating table, resolve their differences through dialogue on equal footing,
and dedicate sincere efforts toward achieving collective security for the
region.
Wang
further called upon major powers to assume a genuinely constructive role,
deploying their influence with goodwill and maintaining a principled stance to
contribute positive momentum toward peace and sustainable development in the
Middle East.
