Amman, May 10 (Petra) – China’s Jinsheng International Ceramics has announced a $100 million expansion plan this year to establish complementary industries at its existing facility in Jordan. The investment will support the production of 14 new products across various sectors, primarily relying on locally sourced raw materials, and is expected to create over 1,000 new jobs.
The announcement was made during the inauguration of the company’s product exhibition by Secretary-General of the Ministry of Investment, Zahir Qatarneh.
During the event, Qatarneh reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting both local and foreign investments and to providing an enabling environment that allows businesses to grow in the Jordanian market and expand into regional markets.
He stressed the importance of promoting high value-added industries that utilize local inputs and contribute to job creation for Jordanians.
Qatarneh praised Jinsheng’s efforts in developing its manufacturing operations and expanding its footprint within the Kingdom, saying such investments reflect global investor confidence in Jordan’s investment climate and reinforce the country’s position as a regional hub for industrial growth and innovation.
He also highlighted the project’s role in knowledge transfer, development of advanced industries, and the creation of quality employment opportunities for citizens.
Jinsheng CEO expressed appreciation for Jordan’s investment environment and the continued support from the Ministry of Investment, which he said has enabled the company’s growth.
He noted that Jinsheng’s total investment in Jordan has reached $300 million, with its factories currently employing 620 Jordanians. About 80 percent of the raw materials used by the company are sourced locally.
The new product lines will include tile adhesives, gold-tinted tiles, stair tiles, sanitary ware, lighting, mattresses and accessories, stainless steel products, cardboard, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, sinks, faucets, batteries, ceramics, and carbonated beverages.
