Coinciding with King’s visit to Maan, Royal Court Chief opens Bait Al Anbat headquarters in Wadi Musa

Maan, Aug 12 (Petra) — Coinciding with His Majesty King Abdullah
II’s visit to Maan Governorate on Wednesday, Royal Hashemite Court
Chief Yousef Issawi inaugurated the new headquarters of the Bait
Al-Anbat Association/the Arab Forum for Cultural Interaction in the
Wadi Musa area of Petra District.

The project, established under Royal Initiatives, aims to support the
cultural movement, preserve the region’s civilizational and cultural
heritage, and enhance local community participation in these fields.

The construction of the headquarters implements royal directives
issued during His Majesty King Abdullah’s meeting with leading
figures from Petra District in Wadi Musa to empower the organization
to expand its programs and community services.

Issawi in the presence of Minister of Culture Mustafa Rawashdeh,
Governor of Maan Khaled Al-Hajjaj, and Chief Commissioner of the
Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) Adnan Al
Sawair was briefed on the association’s operations, current
activities, and future goals.

The new facility features administrative offices, a dedicated
workshop space for the “Bait Shaqila” traditional fashion and
handicrafts initiative targeting tourists, a library, and service
amenities designed to foster local heritage programs.

In press statements, Issawi reaffirmed that the project reflects
continuous royal directives to support and empower local communities,
transform cultural heritage into sustainable developmental
opportunities, and promote local handicrafts to enrich the overall
