Gaza, Aug 23 (Petra) – The government media office in Gaza said on Saturday evening that the number of journalists killed since the start of the genocidal war on the enclave has risen to 240, following the death of Palestinian TV cameraman Khaled Mohammed al-Madhoun.
In a statement, the office condemned the systematic targeting, killing and assassination of Palestinian journalists by Israeli forces and urged the International Federation of Journalists, the Federation of Arab Journalists and media bodies worldwide to denounce such actions.
It also called on the international community and organizations concerned with media and journalism across the globe to exert serious and effective pressure to end the genocide, protect journalists in Gaza, and stop their killing and assassination.
