Doha, March 01 (QNA) – The Ministry of Defense announced that, thanks to Allah the Almighty, fighter jets of the Qatar Armed Forces, alongside air defense systems, successfully countered aerial attacks involving drones and missiles launched by Iran toward the state’s airspace.
In a statement, the ministry explained that monitoring and early warning systems detected the targets immediately upon entering surveillance range. They were subsequently tracked and intercepted in accordance with approved rules of engagement, ensuring the protection of national sovereignty and the safety of the country’s skies.
The ministry confirmed that the interceptions were carried out through an integrated air defense system and the full combat readiness of the Armed Forces. No casualties were recorded, while specialized teams have begun completing assessment and precautionary monitoring procedures.
The statement further emphasized that the State of Qatar continues to take all necessary measures to protect its territory and airspace, while following developments through approved official channels. (QNA)
