Amman, May 8 (Petra) – The official delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) continued its official visit to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
Over the past few days, the delegation toured a “large” number of schools in the region to promote enrollment at Jordanian universities.
In a workshop, the minister’s adviser, Muhannad Khatib, presented Jordan’s “key and distinguished” factors, which are considered “attractive” for increasing the number of foreign students in Jordanian higher education institutions.
An introductory guide, themed: “Study in Jordan” was distributed in Arabic and English and is currently being translated and prepared in Kurdish, as the delegation responded to all students’ inquiries.
During the meetings with the region’s officials, the two sides went over several issues of mutual interest, mainly completing procedures to sign the executive program in the field of higher education and scientific research, and exchange of students and faculty members, according to a ministry statement.
Additionally, discussions focused on mechanisms for sending the region’s students to join Jordanian universities.
