Amman, Sept. 2 (Petra) – A new digital platform, MarketHub, has been launched on Tuesday in Jordan to boost local e-commerce and support youth-led entrepreneurial projects.
At the launch, Rami Rawashdeh from the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship said the initiative reflects government backing for young innovators in the digital economy, stressing the need to empower creativity in e-marketing.
Rawashdeh noted that the Jordanian market is among the best in the Arab region in this field, but requires entrepreneurial initiatives to strengthen the presence of national products
Platform director Hadi Malkawi said MarketHub was designed to address challenges faced by local retailers, including fragmented markets, limited visibility, and competition from global platforms.
The service offers smart tools such as an e-portal, marketing support, financing options and market analysis. Future features will include AI-powered remote fitting rooms and virtual furniture design.
Malkawi added that MarketHub will introduce a debit card, an installment system in partnership with banks, and a dedicated fund to support projects featured on the platform.
